FLORENCE, S.C. — A fast start at the plate powered Florence-Darlington Technical College to a 9–6 win over Harford Community College in game two of the doubleheader.
The Stingers struck early, scoring four runs in the first inning, adding two more in the second, and another in the third to build a commanding lead. Jackson Cook was a key catalyst, recording a hit, scoring twice, and drawing three walks. BJ Balls also made an impact on the bases, scoring two runs and stealing two bases to keep pressure on Harford's defense.
Jackson Mullen earned the win on the mound, allowing just one run on one hit over four innings while striking out three. Jackson Burton and Elvin Pascual combined for three innings of relief, surrendering five runs on seven hits.
Despite a late rally attempt by Harford, FDTC held firm with timely defensive plays, including turning two double plays. The victory extended the Stingers' winning streak to eight games.
