Stingers get dominate win at the Ripken Experience

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Behind multiple season firsts, including first starts on the mound and at the plate, as well as first home runs of the year, Florence-Darlington Technical College rolled to an 18–2 victory over Danville Area Community College at the Ripken Experience.
The Stingers' offense erupted for 14 hits in a complete team effort highlighted by several breakout performances. Tristian Strickland paced the lineup with three hits and four RBIs. Jake Zehner added a home run, drove in three runs, and scored once, while Vaughan McIntyre connected on his first home run of the season, finishing with three RBIs and three runs scored. Tradd Burton also went deep, tallying two RBIs and crossing the plate four times. Tanner Beckley made his first start of the season and went 1-for-2 with an RBI and three runs scored as Florence-Darlington Tech built steady momentum throughout the afternoon. The Stingers seized control early, posting five-run innings in both the third and fourth to put the game out of reach.
On the mound, Jackson Kornylo made his first appearance and start of the season, tossing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Jackson Burton followed with two shutout frames of his own, also striking out three. Bryson Harper closed out the game with a scoreless inning to complete the combined four-hit effort. Florence-Darlington Tech controlled the game on both sides, limiting Danville to four hits while showcasing depth throughout the lineup and pitching staff.
