FLORENCE, S.C. — Jackson Mullen tossed a complete-game shutout to lead Florence-Darlington Technical College to a 12-0 victory over USC Lancaster at Dailey Field.
The Stingers delivered an explosive offensive performance, including a ten-run third inning, recording 13 hits in the five-inning contest. Jake Zehner paced the lineup with two hits, including a double, and scored three runs. Tristan Strickland added two doubles and an RBI, while Jackson Cook went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a sacrifice fly. Gabe Herold contributed a triple, drove in a run, and scored twice. Diego Garcia and Jacob Brown each finished with two hits and two RBIs as Florence-Darlington consistently applied pressure throughout the game.
On the mound, Mullen was in complete control, allowing just four hits over five innings while striking out four and walking one. The Stingers were sharp defensively and did not commit an error, while USC Lancaster was charged with one. The Stingers move to 2-2 in regional play.
