Stingers Stay Hot with Dominant 11-1 Performance

FLORENCE, S.C. — Diego Garcia's three-hit performance led Florence-Darlington Technical College to an 11-1 win over USC Lancaster at Dailey Field.
The Stingers produced a consistent offensive effort, scoring in each of the four innings they came to the plate. Diego Garcia led the lineup with three hits and an RBI, while Oneill Feliz added two hits and three RBIs. Jackson Cook and Gabe Herold both had double and scored two runs. Cook had two RBIs while Herold had one. Jace Rainey delievered the dagger with a two-run home run to bring the Stingers lead to 10. Florence-Darlington finished with nine hits and took advantage of three USC Lancaster errors to generate additional scoring opportunities.
On the mound, Elijah Sanders was excellent and secured the win. He tossied 4 2/3 innings and allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out four. Nick Cappello recorded the final out to close the contest.
