Little’s Breakout Game Fuels Midweek Win

BOLIVIA, N.C. — Jake Little delivered a standout performance with four hits, including a home run, to lead Florence-Darlington Technical College to a 10–6 win over Brunswick Community College on Wednesday.

Little paced the lineup with a 4-for-5 effort at the plate, highlighted by a home run, three runs scored, and one RBI. Gabe Herold added two hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs. Diego Garcia contributed two hits and two RBIs, including a key double that helped sustain offensive momentum. Pat Costin also played an important role, recording two hits and drawing two walks to provide stability throughout the order. Florence-Darlington capitalized on six Brunswick errors, converting opportunities into runs and taking control of the game.

On the mound, Florence-Darlington demonstrated depth by utilizing a different pitcher in each inning. Jackson Burton earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief, allowing just one hit. Jackson Kornylo made his second start of the season, holding Brunswick scoreless while recording a strikeout. The bullpen limited Brunswick to one run over the final four innings to secure the victory. Despite committing two defensive errors, Florence-Darlington made timely plays to preserve the lead.

The Stingers return home this weekend to host USC Salkehatchie for their third regional series of the season, with first pitch set for Friday at 2 p.m. and a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday beginning at 12 p.m.
