Hot Bats and Dominant Pitching Propel Stingers to 13–2 Win Over Fayetteville Tech

FLORENCE, S.C. — BJ Balls had three hits and three RBIs to lead Florence-Darlington Technical College to defeated Fayetteville Technical Community College 13–2 on Thursday at Dailey Field.
The Stingers' offense produced several standout performances in the decisive victory. Balls finished 3-for-5 at the plate, drove in three runs, scored twice, and added three stolen bases. David Ketterman also made a major impact offensively, going 2-for-2 with four RBIs. Jace Rainey contributed two RBIs and two stolen bases to help power the Stingers' lineup.
Florence-Darlington's pitching staff held Fayetteville Tech to five hits and no earned runs. Jackson Kornylo earned the win after starting on the mound and tossing a scoreless inning. BJ Etheridge made his first appearance of the season and delivered a shutout inning, while Gabe Murray, Tony Shannon, Elvin Pascual, and Tanner Hall each added scoreless innings in relief.
This weekend, the Stingers will travel to face USC Sumter in their fourth regional series of the season. Florence-Darlington currently sits tied for first place in regional play with Gaston College at 7–2, while USC Sumter enters the series in third place at 5–3.
