SUMTER, S.C. — Jackson Cook hit a solo home run for Florence-Darlington, but the Stingers fell to USC Sumter 3–1 at Riley Park.
Florence-Darlington's offense was led by Jackson Cook, who provided the team's lone run with a solo home run in the sixth inning. The blast accounted for both the Stingers' only run and RBI of the game.
Tristan Strickland also contributed offensively, recording one hit and adding a stolen base. As a team, Florence-Darlington managed four hits and struck out seven times at the plate.
