FLORENCE, S.C. — Tanner Beckley's home run headlined a strong offensive performance as Florence-Darlington Technical College defeated Robeson Community College, 17–9, at Dailey Field.
Florence-Darlington showcased its offensive efficiency, plating 17 runs despite recording just five hits. The Stingers capitalized on control issues from Robeson's pitching staff, drawing 23 walks throughout the contest. Pat Costin led the offensive effort with three RBIs, while Beckley added a home run and three RBIs of his own.
On the mound, Elvin Pascual earned the victory with two effective innings of relief, allowing one run while striking out four. Noah Cribb provided key middle-inning support, striking out four over two scoreless innings. Although the Stingers committed three errors defensively, their consistent run production across multiple innings proved decisive in securing the win. The Stingers will return home this weekend to host USC Union, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.
