FLORENCE, S.C. — Five Stinger pitchers combined for a one-hit shutout as Florence-Darlington Technical College wins 12-0 over Francis Marion University JV at Sparrow Stadium.
Florence-Darlington Technical College delivered a well-rounded performance, using timely hitting and disciplined at-bats to secure a 12–0 victory over Francis Marion University JV. BJ Balls led the offensive effort, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while also drawing a walk and stealing two bases. Jace Rainey contributed with a double, an RBI, and a stolen base, adding to the Stingers' offensive momentum. Tradd Burton drove in a team-high three RBIs, finishing 1-for-3 at the plate, while Jacob Brown scored three runs and added an RBI, consistently finding ways to get on base and create scoring opportunities. As a team, the Stingers tallied nine hits, drew six walks, and capitalized on defensive miscues to generate their 12 runs.
On the mound, Florence-Darlington's pitching staff was dominant, combining to allow just one hit across six shutout innings. Jackson Kornylo earned the win with a scoreless opening inning, striking out one without surrendering a hit. Dylan Shaffer delivered two strong innings, striking out three and allowing just one walk.
