FLORENCE, S.C. — Jake Little's three-run blast in the seventh inning proved to be the difference as Florence-Darlington Technical College secured a 9–7 victory over Gaston College at Dailey Field.
Florence-Darlington Technical College earned a 9–7 win over Gaston College, fueled by a decisive six-run seventh inning that shifted the momentum late. Gabe Herold led the offensive effort with three hits, including a home run, and drove in two RBIs. Jake Little delivered the game's biggest swing, finishing with four RBIs, highlighted by his go-ahead three-run home run in the final inning.
Tristan Strickland contributed with two doubles and an RBI, while Diego Garcia added a hit, two RBIs, and a stolen base. Pat Costin provided consistency at the plate, going 3-for-4 and scoring two runs. As a team, the Stingers totaled 13 hits and played error-free defense throughout the contest.
On the mound, Elijah Sanders turned in a strong outing, pitching 5 1/3 innings while allowing three runs and striking out six batters.
