LANCASTER, S.C. — Gabe Herold's two home runs and four RBIs led Florence-Darlington Technical College to a 12–9 victory over USC Lancaster.
Florence-Darlington Technical College earned a 12–9 win over USC Lancaster in a high-scoring contest, powered by a standout performance from Gabe Herold. Herold went 3-for-5 at the plate, recording two home runs and a double while driving in four runs and scoring three times. Tristan Strickland continued to swing it well, finishing 2-for-4 with a home run and a double, adding two RBIs and scoring twice. Jake Little also contributed with a solo home run, going 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
On the mound, Elijah Sanders delivered a solid outing, pitching five innings while allowing just two earned runs on four hits and striking out five batters. Despite a challenging stretch in relief from Nick Cappello and Elvin Pascual, who combined to allow seven runs over 2 1/3 innings, Bryson Harper steadied the game down the stretch. Harper closed with 1 2/3 scoreless innings to help secure the victory.
Florence-Darlington capitalized on eight hits and nine walks, maintaining offensive pressure and holding off a late push from USC Lancaster to preserve the win. They now sit at 15-5 in regional play and 35-8 overall.
