FLORENCE, S.C. — BJ Balls recorded four hits in as many at-bats, and Jacob Brown drove in five runs to lead Florence-Darlington Technical College to a 14–3 victory over Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute on Tuesday at Dailey Field.
Florence-Darlington Technical College delivered a dominant performance in its 14–3 win over Caldwell Tech, fueled by a balanced offensive attack and strong pitching. BJ Balls led the way, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate while scoring three runs and stealing two bases. Jacob Brown provided a major offensive boost with two doubles and a home run, finishing with five RBIs. Pat Costin added a home run and three RBIs, while Jackson Cook contributed three hits and an RBI as the Stingers continued to apply pressure throughout the lineup.
On the mound, Nick Cappello earned the win with a scoreless inning of work, allowing no hits or runs. The pitching staff combined to limit Caldwell Tech to four hits and three earned runs over seven innings. Gavin MacDonald, Tony Shannon, and Peyton Rogers each delivered scoreless outings in relief.
