FLORENCE, S.C. — Jackson Cionek and Pat Costin each hit a home run as Florence-Darlington Technical College edged USC Sumter 4–3 at Dailey Field.
Florence-Darlington Technical College secured a hard-fought 4–3 victory over USC Sumter, fueled by timely hitting and a strong pitching performance. Pat Costin led the offensive effort with a home run and two RBIs, while also scoring a run to help pace the Stingers.
Jackson Cionek also made a significant impact, hitting a home run and scoring two runs, accounting for half of the team's total offense. Gabe Herold added a double to contribute to the Stingers' offensive production.
On the mound, Jackson Mullen earned the win with a solid outing, pitching five innings while allowing two runs on three hits and striking out two batters. Bryson Harper recorded the save, closing the game with two innings of relief while allowing just one unearned run and striking out one.
