Background:
"I grew up in Gilbert, where I've lived my entire life, supported by my amazing parents and my brother. Baseball has been a central part of who I am since I first stepped onto the field at five years old. Throughout school, I was always the youngest in my grade—a trait that shaped both my work ethic and my perspective.
However, the summer before starting college, I tore my ACL—an unexpected setback that challenged me in ways I had never experienced before. This injury forced me to pause, reflect, and reconsider how I approached both athletics and life. Looking back on it now, I believe it was ultimately good for me."
Future Aspirations:
"I want to finish this year, graduate from FDTC, and then continue my baseball career at a four-year college."
What led you to Florence-Darlington Technical College:
"I have always aspired to play baseball at the next level. However, when I graduated from high school, my academic record wasn't strong enough to gain acceptance into an NCAA Division I or Division II program. Because of this, I began exploring junior colleges and soon learned that Florence-Darlington Technical College had one of the most competitive baseball programs in the region.
It was also only about an hour and a half from home, which made it an ideal fit. After discussing the opportunity with my family, I decided that Florence was the right choice for me. Today, I'm genuinely grateful for that decision, and I'm proud to call myself a Stinger."
Experience so far at FDTC:
"My experience at FDTC has been transformative. Under Head Coach Preston McDonald, I've learned how to play the game the right way—focused, disciplined, and respectful. The coaches, faculty, and my teammates have created an environment where I've grown not only as an athlete, but also as a person. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to continuing my education and baseball career at the next level."
Biggest challenges and resources that helped you succeed:
"My greatest challenge occurred shortly after graduating from high school, when I suffered a torn ACL. I spent the following year in intensive rehabilitation, working to regain my strength and return to my previous level of performance.
The support and resources provided at Lexington High School, along with those from my rehabilitation facility, were instrumental in my recovery. They played a significant role in helping me get back on the field and continue pursuing success in my athletic career."
