"My next step is finding ways to get closer to the Lord. Not only will that make me a better person, but it will also make me a better player. My future is all in the Lord's hands."
Committed to play baseball at the College of Charleston.
What led you to Florence-Darlington Technical College:
"I was originally committed to play baseball at Charleston out of high school, but unfortunately, I didn't do what I needed to do in the classroom, so I chose to go the JUCO route. It was the best decision I have ever made. I wanted to go somewhere that would put less financial stress on my mom, but also a program that knew how to win. Talking to Coach McDonald made the decision to come here much easier."
Experience so far at FDTC:
"It's been great. Being here has really pushed me to be the best I can be in everything I do. JUCO baseball is very demanding. Our schedule can be tough, but I feel like it truly builds character. It motivates you to become the best version of yourself."
Biggest challenges and resources that have helped you succeed:
"When we do conditioning in the fall, especially when it's very hot, I remind myself of the main goal—winning a national championship—to push through and keep going."
"Something that really helps me succeed here are the mental lessons Coach Gammell gives the team every week, along with Bible study. These help me become the best player, person, and teammate I can be. They also help me see things from a different perspective, opening my mind to thinking and believing the right way."
