FLORENCE, S.C. — Elijah Sanders delivered seven scoreless innings as Florence-Darlington Technical College evened the series with a 7–4 victory over Harford Community College at Dailey Field.
Florence-Darlington used a decisive six-run third inning to take control of the game and backed it up with strong pitching and clean defense. Gabe Herold and Tanner Beckley each connected on home runs, with Herold driving in two runs to lead the offense. Jake Zehner and Jackson Cook added two hits apiece, while Zehner and Cook each contributed a stolen base. The Stingers also showed patience at the plate, drawing five walks throughout the contest.
Sanders was dominant on the mound, allowing just two hits over seven shutout innings while earning the win. Cooper Coleman and Bryson Harper combined to finish the game, with Harper recording the save. Harford mounted a late rally in the eighth inning, but the Stingers maintained control to secure the victory.
Defensively, Florence-Darlington played error-free baseball, helping preserve the series-tying win. They will play a winner-take-all game three with a trip to the world series on the line.
