FLORENCE, S.C. — Florence-Darlington Technical College was held scoreless in a 6–0 loss to Gordon State College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Stingers were limited to five hits and struggled to generate sustained offense, leaving 11 runners on base. Keira Bell led FDTC at the plate with two hits, while Payton Melinauskas, Mandy Wells, and Natalie Hunter each added a hit. Despite multiple scoring chances, the Stingers were unable to push any runs across.
Bell went the distance in the circle and took the loss after allowing six runs on six hits, as Gordon State capitalized on key opportunities. The Highlanders were led by Cara Bishop, who drove in all five RBIs, including a home run. Defensively, Florence-Darlington played a clean game, committing no errors.
