Dymond, Melinauskas, and Bell homer to lead the Lady Stingers to an 8-6 victory

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Lady Stingers launched three home runs to power Florence-Darlington Technical College to an 8-6 win over Wake Technical Community College in game one of Friday's doubleheader at Buffaloe Road Park.
Keira Bell led the charge both at the plate and in the circle, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. She also tossed a complete game, striking out eight while allowing six earned runs. Skylar Dymond added a two-hit performance, blasting a home run and driving in three runs. Payton Melinauskas also homered and recorded an RBI, while Hayleigh Atkinson went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.
FDTC capitalized on a Wake Tech error and applied pressure on the basepaths, swiping multiple bags — including three from Bell. Wake Tech mounted a late rally in the final inning, but the Lady Stingers held on to secure the victory and improve to 3-8 on the season.
