MYRTLE BEACH, SC – 16-hit offensive effort by Florence-Darlington Technical College as they delivered an impressive all-around performance in a 10–1 victory over Central Lakes College–Brainerd.
Florence-Darlington controlled the game from the outset, generating consistent production throughout the lineup. The team plated runs in four separate innings, including a decisive four-run third inning that helped establish an early advantage.
Leading the offensive surge, Makayla Huggins went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBIs, and a double. Mandy Wells also turned in a standout performance, collecting three hits in four at-bats while driving in three runs and adding two stolen bases. Payton Melinauskas contributed three hits of her own, including a triple, while recording one RBI and scoring twice.
In the circle, Abby Quick delivered a complete-game performance, allowing just one run on six hits over seven innings. She struck out four batters and issued three walks, while the defense behind her remained flawless, committing no errors.
