FLORENCE, S.C. — Skylar Dymond homers but Florence-Darlington Technical College came up just short in a tightly contested matchup, falling 4–3 to East Georgia State College.
FDTC recorded eight hits on the day but was unable to fully capitalize on its scoring opportunities. Skylar Dymond led the offensive effort, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, accounting for all of Florence-Darlington's runs. Makayla Huggins added a strong performance at the plate, finishing 2-for-3, while Kai Pace contributed two hits, including a double.
In the circle, Abby Quick started and worked four innings, allowing four runs—two earned—on two hits while striking out two and walking three. Keira Bell provided an effective relief effort, tossing three scoreless innings and allowing just two hits while striking out four, keeping FDTC within striking distance. Despite a solid overall performance and a strong outing from the bullpen, Florence-Darlington was unable to generate the timely offense needed to overcome the early deficit.
