FLORENCE, S.C. — Lady Stingers' bats stay hot and Kiera Bell pitches a three-hit shutout as Florence-Darlington Technical College cruises to a 16–0 victory over USC Sumter.
Florence-Darlington Technical College secured a dominant 16–0 win over USC Sumter, highlighted by a powerful offensive showing and a commanding performance in the circle. Payton Melinauskas paced the lineup with four RBIs, recording two hits, including a double. Mandy Wells delivered an equally impactful performance, blasting two triples and driving in four RBIs. Olivia Goforth added to the offensive surge with two triples and three RBIs, further extending the margin. The Stingers compiled 17 hits as a team, consistently applying pressure and capitalizing on scoring opportunities throughout the game.
In the circle, Kiera Bell was dominant, tossing four shutout innings while allowing just three hits and striking out six batters. Bell also contributed at the plate with three hits and an RBI. Ashlyn Ivey closed out the contest with a scoreless inning of relief to preserve the shutout.
