UNION, S.C. — Hayleigh Atkinson delivered six RBIs, including a home run, to power Florence-Darlington Technical College to a 7–6 victory over USC Union in extra innings.
Florence-Darlington Technical College earned a hard-fought 7–6 win over USC Union, fueled by a standout offensive performance from Hayleigh Atkinson. Atkinson drove in six of the team's seven runs, highlighted by a key home run that proved to be the difference in the contest. Mandy Wells contributed two hits and an RBI, while Payton Melinauskas added a stolen base and a run scored to support the offensive effort. The Stingers recorded 12 hits as a team, matching USC Union's total, but capitalized on timely opportunities to secure the narrow victory.
