FLORENCE, S.C. — Abby Quick pitched a complete game one-hitter as Florence-Darlington Technical College defeated USC Salkehatchie 8–0 on Wednesday.
Florence-Darlington Technical College earned a commanding 8–0 victory over USC Salkehatchie, fueled by an explosive start and a dominant performance in the circle. The Stingers set the tone early, scoring six runs in the opening inning to seize control of the game.
Kiera Bell led the offensive effort with three hits and two RBIs, helping establish the early advantage. Payton Melinauskas added a triple and an RBI while scoring twice, contributing to the team's consistent production at the plate. Florence-Darlington also applied pressure on the basepaths, with multiple stolen bases from Bell, Hayleigh Atkinson, and Makayla Huggins.
