GASTONIA, N.C. — Keira Bell recorded two RBIs and pitched six innings, but Florence-Darlington Technical College fell to Gaston College 4–2 at CaroMont Health Park.
Florence-Darlington Technical College dropped a 4–2 decision to Gaston College despite a solid all-around performance from Keira Bell. Bell accounted for both of the team's RBIs, going 1-for-3 at the plate with a double while also pitching a complete game effort. Olivia Goforth contributed two hits and a stolen base with a run scored, while Kai Pace added two hits in three at-bats and scored the second of the Lady Stingers' runs. Mandy Wells also crossed the plate, accounting for the team's second run. Florence-Darlington showed flashes offensively but struggled to capitalize on opportunities, leaving six runners on base and not breaking through until the seventh inning.
In the circle, Bell pitched six innings, allowing 10 hits and four earned runs while facing 31 batters. Despite her effort, Gaston's timely hitting proved to be the difference.
