SUMTER, S.C. — Behind a dominant complete-game performance from Abby Quick, Florence-Darlington Technical College earned a 5–3 victory over USC Sumter.
Florence-Darlington Technical College used a balanced offensive attack and steady pitching to secure the win. Skylar Dymond drove in two runs and added a pair of hits, while Kai Pace also recorded two RBIs and collected two hits. Mandy Wells led the Stingers at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a stolen base and helping power a 14-hit team performance.
Quick was outstanding in the circle, tossing a complete game to improve to 12–5 on the season. She allowed seven hits and three earned runs while striking out nine. Her command and composure helped Florence-Darlington withstand a late push from USC Sumter to seal the victory.
