SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Olivia Goforth's two-run home run highlighted the effort, but Florence-Darlington Technical College's season comes to an end with a 5-3 loss to Monroe University.
The Lady Stingers battled throughout but was unable to overcome Monroe's advantage. Goforth provided the key offensive moment with a two-run homer, while Keira Bell contributed on the bases with two stolen bases and scored two of the team's three runs. Hayleigh Atkinson added a double and two hits, and Payton Melinauskas drove in a run. As a team, the Lady Stingers recorded five hits and were limited in key scoring opportunities.
In the circle, Abby Quick started the game, allowing two runs on four hits in the opening inning. Bell provided strong relief, pitching six innings and surrendering just two unearned runs on four hits while striking out three.
With the loss, Florence-Darlington concludes its season with a 31–21 record, reflecting a competitive and resilient campaign.
